The nursery is done!  Although I’m sure I’ll tinker with some of the decorations as I wait in anticipation of her arrival.  Something about nesting??   I love the space.  It is so serene (read:  I hope we have made the room a sleep sanctuary so we can all get some rest).

The inspiration?  I’m not a pink gal and Tony isn’t a purple kind of guy so we went with a yellow, white and grey pallet.  All I have to say is I’m glad that Pinterest wasn’t around when I was wedding planning because you can go CRAZY with ideas.

Countless hours on the web have made me loyal to a few fun blogs over the last 8.5 months.  Here are some favs that helped inspire the nursery:

And a few that are funny takes on pregnancy.  Don’t get me wrong, thebump.com, baby center, etc are great for information but sometimes you just need to get the dirty details!

We tried to do this at a reasonable cost, as much as I wanted to invest thousands of dollars at Pottery Barn Kids or Land of Nod, I just couldn’t justify it with the adorable outfits I’m going to NEED to buy her over the years.
